Here we are at the end of day five with no waking hours pacifier. It has been going pretty well.
Except for yesterday.
When Alex woke up, he would not surrender the pass to me. He had a death grip on it with his teeth and refused to give it up. Fine, I thought. I will get it from him when he eats his breakfast because you can't eat and suck it at the same time.
He refused to eat breakfast. None.
He refused to drink his milk. None.
I tried to get it away from him several times during the morning and finally at Discovery Time at the library...he was distracted while coloring a picture and I took it!
But we are having progress because he willingly gave it to me this morning when he got up. I am amazing at how much more he is talking and the funny stuff we hear coming out of his mouth. And his pretty smile! I love his pretty smile.
Mallory has been doing great! She hasn't asked for it or gone searching all over the house. She has been more grumpy but I have no idea if it is related to the pass out.
Now, this afternoon. Mallory was in Daddy's office when she found a pacifier and DADDY let her have it. Shame on Daddy. He is kind of a pushover.
1 witty remarks:
I couldn't get my girls to take a pacifier for the life of me.. Still bums me out to this day, although I guess I didn't have to go through the getting rid of pacifier stage!
