I've been bitten by Edward

I saw Twilight the other night. I watched it with my hubby and my brother husband. That is what I call my brother in law Robert because I have called upon him a couple times to watch my kids and he is pretty good at it. Plus, I live in Utah so you know...we love Big Love around here.

Anyway, I'm drinking Vodka Martinis because Vodka Mom told me too and I'm watching this scary vampire movie and I am strangely drawn to Edward. The more I see his pasty white face and his rapidly changing eyes...the more I like him. And here it is days later and I can't stop thinking about...Edward.

So I do what I always do when I get a celebrity crush...I cyber stalk him. I look for pictures and I IMDB him and I am annoyed. He isn't as cute in real life as he is as my favorite immortal Edward. What is the deal? Have a seen too many dead people?

I can't figure it out. Check out these pictures and tell me that he isn't hotter as Edward? What is different besides the whiteness? Can you tell me?

Good news to report! My Little Pony (not his real name) was born yesterday around Noon! And it's a BOY!

  1. Miley Cyrus said that she thought people were in love with Edward and not with the real guy (whatever his name is, perhaps she has a point.
also the fact that I just quoted Miley Cyrus, makes me think I need to get off the internet and perhaps read a book.

  2. JennyKate is doing a confession link thing today. One my several confessions that I plan to make is that I haven't read/watched a Twilight anything. However, I am not living under a rock: Edward looks mysterious and interesting. The actor looks stoned and a bit vapid. IMHO anyway.

  3. I have felt the same way since reading all of the books, of course Robert Pattison isn't bad to look at either. But reading the books, I was made a TEAM EDWARD person right away.

It's the character people are truly drawn to...the concept of such a man loving you in a way that is truly not possible in the real world!

Remember Leonardo DiCaprio after Titanic? It was the same craze for him because of the love he had for Rose.

  4. He looks older in the picture on the right, not at all like a teenaged vampire.

It must be the facial hair and the drunken swagger. He's definitely got that "last call" look if you know what I'm sayin'

  5. I think Edward's brows are groomed. Hard to tell...

I drink vodka martini's too - not big on gin.

The baby horse is adorable (a foal, right?) - I think he should be named Silver after the Lone Ranger's horse.

  6. I saw a clip of "Edward" on the Tonight Show last year when the movie was in theater's. I know why he isn't cute in real life!

Quote: "I'm not really into personal hygiene."

    Seriously.
    He said that.
And then he ran his hand through his dirty, greasy hair and it stood straight up. Gross.

  7. Seriously, Connie? Did you have to fall for him??? ;)

I absolutely refuse to read the books. I know, hate me if you must but I'm sticking to my guns on this one, chicka.

    Love ya!

  8. Connie I am so with you. Rob P is so much better looking as Edward in the movie. My guess... someone else cleaned him up.

  9. He's more manicured in the movie. Plucked eyebrows, clean shaven...and very neat hair. You must like polished looking men. No scruffy types for you!

    Oh, and beautiful horses.

  10. I refused to read the books, and finally got sucked in. So I just saw the movie too and did exactly what you did! ha. You're right, he isn't as hot in real life. The tight shirts and cool hair in the movie are way better than the ugly stuff he wears in real life.

  11. I share your same obsession with the vampire boy. I was strangely drawn to him and stayed up WAY past my bedtime to watch the movie...

  12. I am so in love with Edward! I have read all of the books (some of them more than once) and was one of the only adults to rent the movie at my local video store ;) (I know I am a big geek) ;) I was very into him throughout the movie but that picture you showed in real life was hideous. I thought he was also very cute as Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Maybe it is his lack of make up and being properly groomed? Or maybe he is a bit intoxicated? or worse?

  13. Yesterday...I bought the Twilight book. And a Life & Style magazine with Robert on the cover.

There is something wrong with me or there is something in the water here in my Very Mormon Town!

  14. LOL! I picked up the whole series of books at Costco yesterday - I feel like I'm missing out on something! I stumbled on Buffy the Vampire Slayer after I had my first baby & caught up on all the episodes within 3 months (back to back re-runs in sequence!) I LOVED Spike - oh, I had it bad for Spike! :-)
