Eat, Pray, Love...The Movie

I was one of the last people on earth to read Eat, Pray Love when it came out in 2006.  I saw Elizabeth Gilbert on Oprah and I thought if Oprah liked her then I should like her too.

I could relate to her situation in the beginning of the book and I was jealous that she followed her heart and went on this fabulous journey.  I'm so thrilled that this book is being made into a movie and I love that Julia Roberts is going to play Elizabeth.  I think the casting is perfect!

How about you?  Did you read the book?  Are you looking forward to the movie?

This was my only experience of downloading a book, so it was an atypical read for me since I kept losing my place, skipping things, etc. All in all, I LOVED "Eat", was so-so on "Pray" and only got part-way into "Love". I didn't even know she'd met a guy... But I so loved the Italy part that I'd try the movie.

I've heard about it, but I've never read it. Is it a real story or is it one of those self help type books like The Secret? Love Julia Roberts!

It kind of got billed as a Self Help book because she learn a lot about herself along the way...but it's just a real story about this gal's life.

I liked the book but could not relate at all in the beginning of it. I mean, she was married to a great guy, had what she thought she wanted and then just decided it was all not for her... rather selfish... and her poor husband.. just devastated. But I LOVED the book...

I think I might be one of the last that HAVE NOT read it. It's on the list though and now that a movie is coming out I'll most certainly have to knock it out.
