I was matched up with Leslie from Peachy Keen and she lives in Georgia! I was surprised to already find my goody bag in the mail on Saturday. Here's what I got:
- Two beautiful post cards...one with Scarlett O'Hara from Gone With The Wind on it.
- Coke salt and pepper shakers
- Cinnamon Glazed Pecans
- Beautifully decorated flip flops
I'd have shown you a picture of me wearing the flip flops but I desperately need a pedicure...
Thank you so much Leslie! I love my package!
I just have one question....how do you pronounce pecan? I say PEECON.

What a fabulous idea!!!! Looks like you got a great little package!
ReplyDeleteNo!!!! PUH-cahn. Please. You can't eat something with the word PEE in it. Besides, a pee can is one of those things you go to the bathroom in at a concert.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE IT!!! Those flips are adorable...especially with the "C"!!
ReplyDeleteAnd for the record- the state tree of Texas is the PAH-KOHN tree!!!
~Becca
I say ... "Puh-cahn" ... originally from Florida in an area that isn't really Southern. But my hubby's family from Alabama says it the same way so maybe that is the Southern way?? Who knows ... who cares ... either way you say it, they are delicious!!! :o)
ReplyDeleteCute flip-flops! Such a fun idea!
Yeah, I'm with Becca...we say "PUH-can". Super AWESOME swap package!!! She did a fabulous job...love the "C" flip flops!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun package! I just barely sent mine out on Saturday. But I am so excited to see my fun flip flops!!
ReplyDeleteVery cute!

I say puh-cahn but many in GA would say pee-can
ReplyDeleteOh and love the stuff by the way LOL

ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you liked the package. It got to you quickly 'cause we were leaving for vacation - which is the SAME reason it didn't have a letter explaining the stuff. I was in a hurry and after leaving the post office thought, "Poo! I meant to put a letter in there!" The Georgia pecans (Puh-CON is how I pronounce it), Georgia peach plate, and Gone With the Wind card are all, I hope self-explanatory tokens from GA, but the Coke salt and pepper shaker - those MIGHT need some explanation. Coke is based in Atlanta with a Coke museum (a FUN visit if you're ever in town). I'm a Coke addict, so it's the first place my brain goes when I make Georgia connections. haha!
I say "puh-con."
ReplyDeleteI Love exchanges- have only participated in one so far. Those flip flops are very Connie!
I would love to do a stationary exchange! I try to hand write notes often and when I have cute stationary to use, I tend to write more frequently.
Love those flip flops with the C. I say Puh Con and I in Virginia--born and raised here.
ReplyDeleteI believe I say peecon as well. For the record I'm sitting here at my computer saying it out loud, feeling like a goof ball. Those flips are adorable.
ReplyDeleteLove the flip flops (anyone out there still call them thongs? Why does my step-daughter laugh and laugh when I do that?? :) ).
ReplyDeleteMy pecan pronunciation is the same as yours. :)
VERY nice! And we say 'puh-KAHN' here. Matt wouldn't have it any other way :)
ReplyDeleteCute flops! I am from TX (living in VA now) and I say PUH-can...any other way is just wrong. :)
