I love my high heeled shoes.
Once I turned 40, I decided that I wanted to wear them before I got too old to enjoy them. Now I'm worried that I might break a hip.
Saturday night I asked Robert if he'd watch the kids so that we could go to Gumbo's in Downtown Denver before they close forever!
I watched his cat for 10 days recently so he didn't dare say no to me.
I wore a cute red top, my new turquoise necklace from Charming Charlies, my sexy jeans and my new tan booties.
I looked hot!
I thought we'd park close to the restaurant.
I forgot that iKeith has a favorite parking lot and that he doesn't do well with change.
I had to walk.
I got blisters....and wrapped my feet in toilet paper in the restaurant bathroom.
This was a huge mess later.
He wanted to walk around and cursed my shoe choice.
I begged him to go back to the car.
Our date nights always end badly....

Bandaids, bandaids, bandaids. They aren't just to cover up your headlights when you go braless. :o) Put them on your heels before you wear new shoes! They are a LOT less noticable than TP stuffed in the backs. ;o)

ReplyDeleteConnie - I constantly aggravate my husband with my shoe choices. I always choose fashion over pain and discomfort (and I always wish I did the opposite. You'd think I'd learn eventually....

I totally did this on our last fancy dinner date to the city. I don't know WHAT I was thinking because we took public transportation and I knew there would be walking. Why do we punish our feet so?
ReplyDeleteYay for the vlog (well done!) Boo for the shoes. Did you know I have 2 scabs on the backs of my heels that have been there since my last date night? But the shoes are so cute, despite all my whining I refuse to get rid of them.

ReplyDeleteThat nasty thing that iKeith was drinking was called a Belfast Car Bomb. It was a beer with a little shot of something that you put in the beer and it made it curdle. GROSS!

Tell iKeith that I did a car bomb on a pub crawl in Dublin 2 years ago - YOU HAVE TO SHOOT IT...not sip it!! No wonder he was shuddering! I beat 2 guys in a drinking contest. And I don't quite remember much of that night after than either.

ReplyDeleteBoooo! My 16-year-old cleaned out her closet this weekend and found her FAVORITE pair of heels she'd been missing for a solid year. She wore them to school yesterday (she walks!) and came home with GIANT blisters. I'm really shocked she didn't pack a pair of sneakers to change into, or something!
