I'm so excited because today begins the 2011 Review Extravaganza and we have a hashtag!
#RE2011
Today a whole bunch of us are recapping our blogs from January, February and March! I know that it was a crazy time for our family. We were under a little bit of stress.
January
- I started off the month making many resolutions, which I chronicled on a separate blog that I apparently deleted in a drunken stupor. Luckily, I also put them on a spreadsheet which I haven't looked at since January 28th and am afraid to open today. I was also mad at my husband for poo pooing my resolutions, have no idea if this is why the blog is deleted. I've blocked it out.
- We sent in applications to 3 schools including a blue ribbon charter school.
WeI waited on pins and needles.WeI prayed! - I got one of many funny apartment newsletters, this one was about people photographing dogs pooping.
- Sad, sad news....My daughter lost her beloved Naka Bee. We were heartbroken. And I made a video about it.
February
- My kids colored each other with markers while I was watching The Bachelor.
- I found Tampons for Vegans in the supermarket.
- We found out that Alex got the number one spot in the Kindergarten lottery at the Blue Ribbon Charter School. And I made a video about it.
- I wrote a post to help Non-Mormons survive living in Utah.
March
- I went on a date with my brother husband.
- My life became complete when a brand new two story Target opened in my neighborhood.
- My
miracle babygirl turned four. - I found something disturbing at World Market and I was almost carjacked at the grocery store.
hahahaha This is a great idea. Very jealous of your two story Target!!!
ReplyDeletehahaha I love this! and a two story Target? I feel like I'm missing out!!
ReplyDeleteOkay, the whole January part made me laugh - the resolutions, the missing blog, the poo pooing husband...Love it!! haha!!
ReplyDeleteI realized I didn't make any resolutions this year. And I think I've accomplished more than if I had made them. Maybe that's the trick... lol
I am so glad i clicked on that World market link! :o) TOO FUNNY!!! So is MiMi's comment in response. :o)
ReplyDeleteI remember these. And yes, poor Naka Bee. The choose a school thing was stressful for ALL of us. xoxo
ReplyDeleteTwo story Target?! I've never even heard of a two story Target...but I'm completely jealous! Okay, I'm gonna go check out these stories!
ReplyDeleteI remember these! Can you believe we've been together for more than a year, girlfriend? LOL
ReplyDeleteOkay I think I just clicked on 5 or 6 links of back-posts I am going to have to go read!!
ReplyDeleteVegan Tampons? What the?? Definitely have to read that one.
So glad you are recapping with us and I have your first point recorded :)
I am seriously crying over the kids coloring them selves with markers!! Love it!
ReplyDeleteI love that you track resolutions in a spreadsheet!
ReplyDeleteAre you going to watch the new season of The Bachelor? I feel like I should because I always watch, but I wasn't all that big on Ben when he was on The Bachelorette, so I don't know yet.
There is a 2 story Target where my Mom lives, that is bliss.
We've been friends for a while. I remember most of these!!! YAY ME! I need to go back to one that caught my eye from January. I don't remember it. And I'm sure it's funny. They always are!
ReplyDeleteYou're the BEST for linking up! Thank you!!!
I loved your post and some of the last years. You sound so fun. I had to laugh at the Not a Mormon living in Ut guide. I've always been a Mormon, but have only lived in UT for 2+years, and I had to laugh a ton. Even as a Mormon I still feel like I am living in a foreign country. We bought a house minus one of those stupid little rooms because we wanted open-ness. That wall had to be chosen to be left off. And we are still trying to find good ice cream and donuts. Just the other night, DH said, where can we get some ice cream? I replied, "no where. This is UT. They don't eat ice cream they run marathons."
ReplyDeleteAll that happened in just 3 months? That's a lot! I think I need to check a couple of those out that I might have missed...there's some wacky stuff in your first quarter!
ReplyDeletethere are so many things about this that i loved. let me highlight. in the wrong order.
ReplyDelete#1--2 story target. there is such a thing??!!?? i covet. my bank account is glad we don't have one.
#2--not a mormon living in utah, HAHAHA-LARIOUS. (b/c while i am mormon, i grew up catholic and find the mormon culture oddly hilarious and addicting all the same time...alarming?)
a.near beer
b.fry sauce, jello mold, etc
c.Hang out in coffee shops and approach other people drinking coffee
d.everything about drinking or ordering alochol. (note: my stepbrother gets a kick out of these things when he comes to visit)
e.the missionary/home teacher room, don't get your name on the list
f.and the part about the sister wife made me sad:(
#3--tampons for vegan.
#4--i can't wait for a new season of bachelor.
again, these are just the highlights, i loved it all, thanks for linking up!
Oh my! I just came from your marker post. I'm dying laughing. I've done some stories about my kids with markers, but I can't compete with that. They are truly gifted!
ReplyDeleteWow, I remembered all those things!!! I heart Connie :)
ReplyDeleteWhy do all the crazy things happen to you? lol! At least it makes for great blogging!
ReplyDeleteThe survival guide for non-mormons in UT is awesome. LOL And I am Mormon!!! hahahaha. I wouldn't want to live in UT. Visit for the sheer beauty of the state, but live there...not so much. I like my home here in sunny CA!
ReplyDeleteVegan tampons and hares on cocks. BHAHAHAHAHA! I love your blog. I can't wait to see what is next. :D
The hare and cock thing... Wow! hahaha This is my first time over this way. I will have to come back soon!
ReplyDeleteI remember the day the two story WalMart opened up sort of in my area. Weird how things like that are such a big deal, haha
ReplyDeleteI always love your Mormon blog posts, the one about Utah has always been a personal favorite.
And the memos you get at your apartment make me sad that I'm not living in an apartment community. :(
2 story Target?! WHAT!? Oh dear, that sounds like a sinful place!! I'm still shaking my head at the tampons for Vegans... who knew!
