I have had a pretty great June. Sad....but great.

Join me...if you will, and post your own 10 Things to Smile About with Emmy Mom.
1. I bought a Smash Journal at the suggestion of Ricki from Art @Home and I'm going to fill it with all kinds of wonderful things! Hopes, Dreams and Shoes! Edited: pictures of shoes. Real shoes will not fit.
2. My daughter is in a harder gymnastics class this session and she is thriving! We're excited to watch The Olympics together in August.
3. I discovered Rose wine. This one....Jose Rose, is Muy Bueno!
4. A couple weeks ago we explored a new neighborhood and found a bunch of fun things. A new pizza place to try, a new tavern for a date night and a fun coffee shop with fantastic ice cream! This mural was a fun surprise. More about this later on The Rookie Foodie.
5. I love when my boys goof around!
6. For Father's Day this year, the kids and I gave iKeith something that he's wanted for a long time. His own LEGOS!
7. My littlest Kindergartener, is learning to spell and made this funny sign. Someone was getting too much time with her brother.

8. I've told you several times how precious my friends are to me. Well, I said goodbye to the one in pink and the one in yellow got married. All on the same day! Happy and sad.
9. My kids have made good friends too. We joke that these two are getting married.
10. I am a wealth of information but thanks to an iPhone autocorrect, I didn't think I could help my Sister Bobbi out.
Wow....Can't wait for July! Only 7 weekends until school starts!
That smash book looks pretty cool! I'd be afraid I'd not do it though; I have so little time!
ReplyDeleteGo Mallory! Win the gold!!
ReplyDeleteI think I need the Jose Rose...it's already 95 degrees and it's not even 9:00 a.m.
pensions I know nothing about. penises however? I'm no it ;)
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of a smash book-that looks pretty cool. And yea would be hard to fit shoes in it ;)
ReplyDeleteSo nice that you have such a good group of friends close by- though one is now way too far away. And that sign is awesome! Love when kids learn to write and glad it isn't just my kids that write signs about the other not be allowed.
Thank you so much for linking up
Rose wine is genius. I do find myself proclaiming loudly at random intervals that I'm not drinking BLUSH. I'm drinking Rose. Lest anyone be confused. Watching Olympic gymnastics and drinking rose would be a great combo!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for the Olympics either!!
ReplyDeleteThat wine looks yum. I need some wine. Like, now. ;)
My pension's not big enough either but I cope.
ReplyDeleteWait.
ReplyDeleteYour sister wanted to talk penises with you? That makes me want a sister. I have a brother and I can't really talk about penises with him.
Thanks for linking up and for that LOVELY compliment! I love your face!
I'm thinking about putting James in a tumbling class. I was talking to a friend last night and she said her son loves it.
ReplyDeleteI love that picture of Alex and the little girl!!! Adorable!!!
ReplyDeleteI totally cracked up at how your sister pluralized penises! ;o) Peni??
I love watching gymnastics on the Olympics. That and ice skating are pretty much it for me. Sometimes swimming.
ReplyDeleteAnyway. Sad about your friend moving. :(
Mallory writes really well!
Looking forward to the gymnastics in this year's Olympics, too!
ReplyDeleteAnd love Autocorrect!
lol, penises with your sister. Now there's an example of when autocorrect made something not dirty. That's a first!
ReplyDeleteI want to find a new tavern for date night! Our favorite spot here in town went out of business. Boo!
i love the smash book very cute
ReplyDeleteI can honestly say that I have never had a conversation with either of my sisters about penises. You two must have a very special relationship!
ReplyDeleteSaying good-bye sucks the big one! Is that what you and your sister were going to talk about? I'm blushing now!
I am not ready for school to start, I LOVE summer and sleeping in late and spending unscheduled time with my girls and sleeping in late!
Thanks for linking up with us!
